Thousands of teachers will be regularised thanks to a bill passed by the KP.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly has passed legislation to allow over 38,000 teachers in the province to work legally.
On Monday, the ‘KP Teachers Appointment and Regularization of Services Bill, 2022’ was passed.
Speaking on the floor of the house, Provincial Minister for Education Shahram Khan Tarakai praised the teachers and asked them to carry out their duties with dedication so that future generations may contribute to the country’s development and advancement.
The KP government declared in June that thousands of school and college professors, hundreds of physicians, and ex-FATA project workers will be regularised.
At related news, KP’s Minister of Higher Education, Kamran Khan Bangash, announced hundreds of job opportunities in the Higher Education Department (HED) earlier this month.
Taking to Twitter, the Minister announced over 800 job openings in the HED and encouraged young people to apply via the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission (KPPSC).
Moreover, the Mansehra District Education Department (DED) committed to give appointment letters to the hundreds of instructors hired in public schools and universities.
The news came after the KP’s Directorate of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESD) granted DED Mansehra approval to appoint 900 teachers.
