A mobile app has been developed to survey flood-damaged houses in KP.
The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has launched a smartphone application for evaluating damaged dwellings in flood-affected districts of the province in order to offer transparent relief payouts to flood victims.
On Tuesday, Dr. Shehzad Khan Bangash, Chief Secretary, presided over a meeting to discuss the app’s launch.
The Additional Chief Secretary, Administrative Secretaries, Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners (DCs), Pakistan Army and National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) representatives, and other relevant authorities were present.
The guests were told that the app was designed and built by the KP Information Technology (IT) Board, and that relevant officials are getting professional training on its use.
The guests were told that the survey will begin on September 15th, and that the Bank of Khyber would compensate them after it was completed.
According to early assessment estimates from the KP Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), 91,456 dwellings were damaged by the floods.
The province government also established the ‘Flood Reporting App’ a few weeks ago to give rapid help to flood victims by allowing them to seek assistance with food, medications, and other resources.
The app has a complete system for providing help to sufferers and tracking feedback. It also makes it easier for users to report incidents and the kind of help needed.
