Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) has chosen to add a new variation to the Alto portfolio. The new Alto VXR AGS model is a less expensive automatic variation.

Aside from the gearbox upgrade, the VXR AGS gains features like as hill-start aid and an anti-lock braking system (ABS). Buyers must pay an extra Rs. 144,000 above the base VXR model for these enhancements, for a total of Rs. 2,120,000.

Alto is a K-car that was launched in 2019 to replace the iconic Suzuki Mehran. In Pakistan, its main rivals are Prince Pearl and United Bravo.

It features a 660cc three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 39 horsepower and 56 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque and transfers it to the front wheels through a five-speed manual or an AGS automatic gearbox, depending on the model.

Alto offers the following fundamental features:

Dual-airbags (VXL and VXR, VXR AGS)
AC
Touchscreen infotainment system (VXL only)
ABS (VXL and VXR AGS)
Windows with power functions (VXL only)
Assist with hill-holding (VXL and VXR AGS)
Immobilizer
Keyless access
Electric door locks

Despite recent production cuts, price increases, and alleged quality control issues, the Alto has been Pakistan’s best-selling automobile since its launch.

However, with ongoing operational issues and another round of price increases on the way, its success may be jeopardized.
