BRISBANE: Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi made a strong return to the T20 World Cup 2022.

After spending weeks in England recovering from a ligament injury in his right knee, the pacemaker joined the squad in Australia for the huge event.

Shaheen delivered a lethal toe-crusher to Afghanistan’s opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz during a warm-up match, leaving him hobbling.

Due to the pain, the bowl took a wicket, sending the Afghan player back to the dugout with the help of his friend.

Pakistani supporters were ecstatic when they spotted Shaheen in full rhythm.

In his first two overs, the left-arm bowler allowed just four runs and took two wickets. He later concluded with figures of 2-29 in four overs.
