Deputy Prime Minister and Turkish Foreign Minister show support for Palestinians

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar held a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Jeddah during the 21st Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers.

In a statement shared on his official X account, Ishaq Dar said both sides expressed unwavering solidarity with the people of Palestine. He highlighted the worsening humanitarian situation, including famine and displacement, and stressed the urgent need for humanitarian assistance and relief efforts.

Dar added that the meeting also focused on strengthening the brotherly ties between Pakistan and Türkiye. Both leaders emphasized their commitment to further deepen bilateral cooperation in various fields, including trade, economy, defense, and cultural exchanges.

The Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed that Pakistan and Türkiye will continue to work closely at international forums, particularly on the issue of Palestine, to push for lasting peace and justice.
