Kasur (News Update): Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) are actively carrying out large-scale rescue and relief operations in flood-affected areas of Kasur district, particularly in Ganda Singh Wala and nearby localities, after the Sutlej River overflowed and inundated several villages.

According to official reports, 6,890 residents and over 1,000 livestock have been safely moved to secure shelters by Rangers personnel. The recent surge in the Sutlej River floods has submerged around 30 villages along the border areas, leaving thousands vulnerable and in urgent need of assistance.

To ensure swift relief, Punjab Rangers teams, in collaboration with emergency services and local authorities, are using boats to rescue stranded families. Rangers officials are also facilitating Rescue 1122 teams by providing access and guidance to remote and hard-to-reach flood zones.

In addition, Rangers contingents are extending full support to the district administration in restoring vital routes, repairing damaged roads, and maintaining relief supply lines to ensure uninterrupted aid delivery.

Authorities have urged residents in low-lying areas to remain cautious as water levels continue to rise in the Sutlej River. Relief efforts will remain in place until the situation stabilizes.
