According to Pakistan, Modi’s claims of’resolving’ the Kashmir problem are ignorant to ground realities.

Pakistan strongly condemns Modi’s statements against the IIOJK.

According to FO, India must be held accountable for its wicked strategy.

Modi’s absurd claim that he has “settled the Kashmir problem” is incorrect and misleading, according to the organisation.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan stated on Tuesday that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s words regarding settling the Kashmir problem are false and misleading, and they also show how ignorant the Indian leadership has grown of the ground realities in Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

In a statement made on Tuesday, the Foreign Office categorically rejected the Indian prime minister’s allegations concerning IIOJK while speaking at a public rally in Gujarat.

According to The Hindu, Modi said that he was able to handle the long-pending Kashmir issue by following in the footsteps of India’s first home minister, Sardar Patel.

However, FO urged India to ensure that the people of Kashmir be granted their fundamental right to self-determination, while also asking that the Indian leadership, rather than making “delusory” claims about having addressed the Kashmir problem, follow through on their promises.

According to the FO, Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally recognised conflict, the settlement of which has been on the United Nations agenda since 1948.

It maintained that India unlawfully seized the area and committed heinous human rights abuses while employing over 900,000 brutal occupying forces, despite explicit UN resolutions mandating a free and impartial referendum to settle the conflict.

According to the statement, Pakistan has constantly urged the international community to accept its role and obligation in relation to the IIOJK and the continued Indian atrocities in the occupied region.

It went on to say that India must be held accountable for its devious attempt to change the demographics of IIOJK as well as its cruel suppression of innocent Kashmiris.

Pakistan demanded an immediate reversal of the Indian government’s illegal and unilateral actions on 5 August 2019, withdrawing its call for human rights and humanitarian organisations to condemn India’s state terrorism in IIOJK.

According to FO, India’s fraudulently staged visits to the occupied region, coordinated launching of so-called development projects in an attempt to create a facade of “normalcy,” would neither damper the spirit of Kashmiris nor dupe the world into accepting India’s falsehood.

The FO concluded that the only solution to the Jammu and Kashmir dispute is to allow Kashmiris to exercise their right to self-determination through the democratic method of holding UN-mandated free and impartial plebiscites, as espoused in relevant UNSC resolutions and in in accordance with the wishes of the Kashmiri people.
