Babar Azam, Pakistan’s all-format skipper, has fallen further in the new ICC T20I batsmanr rankings after a poor performance in the just ended 2022 Asia Cup.
Babar has dropped to third place in the current standings, as South African Aiden Markram has surpassed him.
Babar has dropped 23 points as a result of his failings during the Asia Cup.
In the six innings he played in the tournament, Babar only scored 68 runs at an average of 11.33.
Meanwhile, despite losing five rating points in the newest rankings, Pakistan’s great wicket-keeper batsman, Mohammad Rizwan, has retained his top status.
Rizwan ended the tournament as the highest run-scorer, with 281 runs at an average of 56.20 and a strike rate of 117.57.
