Chery Tiggo Twins Face Another Massive Price Increase

The latest round of price increases is in full swing, as Ghandhara Nissan Limited (GNL) hiked the pricing of the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro and Tiggo 8 Pro SUVs shortly following Hyundai Nishat Motors Private Limited (HNMPL).

Although the company did not provide a specific explanation for the rise, it is most likely due to the recent increase in the dollar rate. The following new pricing are effective immediately:

GNL introduced both SUVs, the Chery Tiggo 4 and Tiggo 8 Pro, earlier this year for Rs. 4,599,000 and Rs. 6,599,000, respectively. Tiggo 4 Pro competes with the MG ZS and Kia Stonic, while Tiggo 8 Pro competes with the Changan Oshan X7 and Haval H6.

Tiggo 4 Pro is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that generates 145 horsepower (hp) and 210 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque with a DCT automated transmission. The Tiggo 8 Pro is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that delivers 195 horsepower and 290 Newton-meters of torque to the front wheels through a DCT automated transmission.

Keyless Entry and Push Start, Cruise Control, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Traction Control, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill-start Assist, driver and passenger airbags, and a sophisticated entertainment system are all standard features on both SUVs.

Despite the fact that both SUVs are excellent value propositions in their respective sectors, the current price increase may reduce demand.
