Karachi University (KU) has declared that all exams will be postponed due to heavy rains predicted in the provincial capital, following the Sindh government’s announcement of two vacations for educational establishments.
All exams scheduled for the 24th and 25th of August have been rescheduled, according to the official statement. The updated exam schedule for the postponed tests will be released later.
Separately, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Karachi has postponed the current annual intermediate exams due to heavy rains in the city.

According to the official statement, all inter examinations planned for the 24th and 25th of August have been rescheduled. The updated timetable for the postponed examinations will be announced later by the BISE Karachi.
The Sindh government issued two breaks for all public and private educational establishments last night, August 24 and 25, as it continues to execute relief work in regions impacted by this year’s severe monsoon rains.
According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Sindh has received 583.7mm of rain during the current monsoon season. In contrast, the provincial average for the previous 30 years is 117.6mm. This means that Sindh has gotten 396.34% more rainfall than usual this year.
