The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Punjab is preparing to develop a unique scholarship programme for PhD students, according to Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, Chairman of the HEC Punjab.
Dr. Munir said at an occasion that HEC Punjab intends to foster excellent research that would answer industrial concerns and contribute to Pakistan’s growth.
Countries that have made significant technological and scientific advancements are regarded as global leaders in their respective industries.
Because knowledge generation is inextricably linked with research, additional investment in the country’s education sector is required.
Vice-Chancellors (VCs) of all public and private institutions should foster an entrepreneurial culture, strengthen academia-industry links, and stimulate innovation to address national issues.

Dr. Munir continued by stating that Pakistan’s education system would never improve until significant changes are made to the quality of education provided in schools, colleges, and institutions.
Pakistan should seek assistance from other nations in order to enhance its education system. This would not only serve to promote education diplomacy and tourism, but it would also boost bilateral relations.
