Honda is preparing to launch an electric scooter with a range of 130 kilometres.
Honda’s new electric scooter will be launched in India next year. The business has revealed plans to launch an extensive lineup of electric motorcycles around the world, beginning with one of Asia’s major two-wheeler marketplaces.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has classified its activities in the two-wheeler electric vehicle (EV) industry into three categories. The business will launch the EV, electric bike (EB), and electric moped (EM) categories in India, according to the report.
HMSI intends to introduce its new electric two-wheeler in April 2023, however it is presently uncertain which bike will go on sale first.
Complete Strategy
Honda plans to release ten or more new electric bikes by 2025. Last month, the firm made the disclosure during a briefing session about its motorbike business strategy.
The business intends to sell these motorcycles across Asia and Europe. Electric scooters, commuter bikes, street bikes, crossover bikes, and cruiser bikes are among the options.
Honda has classified the motorcycles into three categories:
EB will have a peak speed of no more than 25 km/h.
EM will have a max speed of little more than 50 km/h.
The EV will have a peak speed of more than 50 km/h.
According to the presentation, the company will debut EVs in Japan, Europe, and the United States, as well as EMs in all regions.
The company will introduce seven mopeds, three big bikes, and one tiny trail cycle for youngsters. It has not, however, revealed many details about its planned items or their prices.
