Ookla has recently made public their most recent Speedtest Global Index for the month of June 2022, which offers a number of fascinating insights about the internet in Pakistan. In the month of June, our nation’s mobile internet speed topped that of India’s.

The average download speed for mobile internet in Pakistan was 14.64 megabits per second, while the average upload speed was 9.38 megabits per second.

With an average download speed of 14.00 Mbps, Pakistan came in at number 116 out of 132 nations, while India occupied the 118th spot on the list.

The upload speed in India was much lower than average at 3.63 Mbps. Pakistan rated higher than countries such as Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan, all of which were placed far lower on the list than our own nation.

The unfortunate news is that Pakistan fell three places in the rankings over the last month, and it also placed far worse in terms of the speed of its fixed broadband.

Pakistan came in at number 150 on the list of countries based on its average download speed for fixed broadband internet, which was 9.82 Mbps. With a download speed of 48.11 Mbps on average, India rated far higher than other countries in this respect.
