Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has instructed authorities to introduce more measures to make Pakistan’s visa process faster, simpler, and more transparent — especially for the Pakistani diaspora, investors, and business community.Chairing a high-level meeting in Islamabad, Dar reviewed the progress of reforms introduced last year under his guidance to improve visa services at Pakistan’s missions abroad. These reforms aim to remove unnecessary delays, ensure better transparency, and create a fast-track visa issuance system for overseas Pakistanis and those seeking to invest in the country.Dar emphasised that improving visa efficiency is vital for strengthening Pakistan’s ties with its global community and boosting economic growth. He directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to continue upgrading procedures, using technology to speed up applications, and making the process more user-friendly.Officials briefed him on ongoing initiatives, including digital application tracking, simplified documentation requirements, and dedicated support channels for the diaspora and investors. The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted that overseas Pakistanis are valuable contributors to the economy and must be given quick and hassle-free access to services at embassies and consulates.
