NADRA Biker Service for CNIC renewal and modification at your door has been launched by Federal Minister of Interior Rana Sanaullah. The event was held at the NADRA Headquarters in Islamabad.
During his visit, NADRA chairman Muhammad Tariq Malik told the minister that the service’s pilot phase would begin in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
NADRA Biker service will be spread to all districts throughout the nation by the end of 2022.
He went on to say that the Biker service is essentially a mobile NADRA Facility that would stroll into people’s lounges and register them on their premises, saving them the trouble of visiting a NADRA centre. The programme will involve female registration officials who will use scooters to register women only.
NADRA Chairman also briefed the Interior Minister on the department’s activities in Sindh, Balochistan, and South Punjab, which have been impacted by floods and high rains.
The minister learned that the monsoon rains and floods had caused significant damage, with most of the NRC’s facilities plunging into the water. However, the brief stated that equipment had been rescued and evacuated.
The chairman went on to say that the current floods and heavy rains had impacted more than 37 million people. He said that the rain and floods in specific locations resulted in the loss of impacted people’s CNICs. He emphasised that individuals would need their CNICs to access government aid efforts.
Speaking at the event, the Interior Minister praised NADRA’s new initiative to help the public. He urged Nadra to keep up its efforts to use new approaches for public facilitation and able to work more efficiently.
