Just yesterday, there were rumours that Motorola would be delaying the release of its next foldable smartphone, the Razr, but today, the firm said that the device would be unveiled on August 2. At the same occasion, the Edge X30 Pro will also be made available for purchase.

The debut will take place in China, but there have been persistent rumours that the X30 Pro would soon be available in other markets under the name Edge 30 Ultra. Despite this, it is still unknown whether or not the Razr 2022, which has in the past also been referred to as the Razr 3, will ever depart China. However, considering the long and illustrious history of the foldable Razr series, the odds are rather good. However, the first introduction will take place at the headquarters of Lenovo, the company that now owns Motorola. This most likely indicates that these two models will be available in China before any other country.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor from Qualcomm is the company’s most recent and cutting-edge mobile platform, and the Motorola Razr 2022 will be one of the first smartphones to use it. This marks a significant divergence from the devices that came before it. This is a striking departure from the 7-series CPUs that the earlier iterations of the Razr used.

It is also said to offer a 6.7-inch inner screen with 120 Hz and a 3″ outside screen, as well as a dual back camera system with a 50 MP primary sensor and a 13 MP ultrawide sensor, as well as a 32 MP selfie snapper.

On the other hand, the Edge X30 Pro / Edge 30 Ultra will be one of the first smartphones in the world to employ Samsung’s ISOCELL HP1 200 MP camera sensor, in addition to a 50 MP ultrawide and a 12 MP 2x telephoto lens. Both of these cameras will be included in the device. This product will also be equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, in addition to a 6.67-inch curved P-OLED touchscreen, 8/12GB of RAM, 128/256GB of storage, a 60 MP front-selfie camera, and a 4,500 mAh battery with 125W wired and 50W wireless charging.
