Ramiz said that he initially got the threats during the Pakistan Super League when asked to explain them by media following the committee meeting (PSL).

He stated, without providing any further information, “I got life threats from inside and outside [of Pakistan].”

Ramiz and other PCB representatives briefed MNA Nawab Sher and the NA Standing Committee on the Board’s performance.

The committee was informed that Pakistan’s squad had a 75% overall success record in recent international games, which was superior to India’s (68 per cent).

Ramiz informed the committee that numerous initiatives were being undertaken to further enhance the nation’s cricketing infrastructure, and that the PCB planned to host a youth T20 league in October of this year and a women’s T20 league in February of the following year.

“The PCB will import mud from Australia to construct [quick and bouncy] pitches for the [national] team to compete in this year’s T20 World Cup [in Australia],” Ramiz said during the committee meeting.

The committee also gave the PCB instructions to deliver the Board’s audit report at the subsequent meeting.

The PCB officials informed the committee during their discussion of the Pakistan Super League that the Board had made Rs. 500 million from the most recent PSL season.
