he Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued a public warning that all unregistered mobile devices will be blocked from local networks. Citizens have been advised to register their phones through the Device Identification Registration and Blocking System (DIRBS) to maintain uninterrupted service.
According to PTA, unregistered mobile phones pose a risk to national security and may be misused in financial and cyber fraud. The authority stressed that possession, sale, or use of such devices is illegal under existing regulations and falls under a punishable offence.
