Released with a faster chip, the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G

Samsung has recently quietly released a 5G version of the Galaxy A23 with just a few tweaks inside, about 4 months after releasing the Galaxy A23 4G. We now have a faster chipset, however there are still some unknown facts.

The Galaxy A23 5G’s design isn’t all that different from its other A series siblings, but its waterdrop notch and large bottom bezel differentiate it among other high-end smartphones.

The 6.6-inch LCD screen has the same 1080p resolution as the 4G variant, but Samsung hasn’t said whether it runs at a 90Hz or 60Hz frequency. The power button is on the side, and the fingerprint sensor is above it.

Storage and Internals

Instead of a Snapdragon 680 SoC, which is several generations behind the latter, you get a Snapdragon 695 SoC. There are just 64GB and 128GB of storage choices, but you may select between 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of RAM. Through a microSD card, capacity may be increased by up to 1TB.

The phone will launch with Android 12 and One UI 4.1. Cameras

The primary camera configuration is the same as previously. It still has a 64MP primary sensor with OIS for stable films and photographs, along with a 5MP ultrawide camera, two 2MP cameras for macro and depth shots, and a pair of 5MP cameras. Only 1080p video clips are supported by this camera.

An 8MP camera is housed within the waterdrop notch, which is also unaltered, for the selfie camera.
Pricing and Battery

The battery hasn’t changed however, so it’s still a 5,000 mAh cell with 25W fast charging support from Samsung.

Although the price has not been confirmed, given that the 4G model begins at around $300, we anticipate the 5G model will cost at least $350.
