Sony Introduces the World’s Smallest 3LCD Laser Projectors
Sony Corporation has developed the VPL-PHZ61 and VPL-PHZ51, the world’s smallest WUXGA 3LCD laser projectors.
According to the specifications, both models have the largest vertical shift of +55 percent among projectors with fixed lenses, making them readily mountable on any room’s ceiling.
Moreover, the VPL-PHZ61 has a brightness of 6,400 lumens (7k-lumen centre), whilst the VPL-PHZ51 has a brightness of 5,300 lumens (5.8k-lumen center).
Even in well-lit settings, the higher lumen count ensures crystal-clear pictures when paired with Sony’s Reality Creation technology.
Furthermore, these projectors can receive 4K60P input, making them compatible with 4K video sources. Meanwhile, Reality Creation enhances their overall sharpness, resolution, and visual clarity, regardless of whether it’s a photograph, text, or other image.
They support HDMI and HDCP2.3 and can display 4K footage without a converter, while Sony’s Reality Text enhances text-based presentations by displaying clearer letters and lines with improved readability.
Furthermore, they include intelligent settings that allow the projectors to adjust to use patterns, and owing to the use of specific Bright View technology, colours retain their contrast and richness even in brightly lit situations.
By collecting data about the surrounding environment, their ambient light sensor automatically synchronises their settings. Furthermore, they have an unique filter that does not need cleaning.
However, Sony has not disclosed price or availability information for the VPL-PHZ61 and VPL-PHZ51. We’ll keep you updated when new information becomes available.
