Sony will give PlayStation users free reward points to spend on games.
Sony’s next PlayStation programme will allow you to earn digital prizes for free. The service is called PlayStation Stars, and it will be available globally later this month.
The reward system is open to everyone who owns a PlayStation 4 or 5. You must complete a series of tasks, such as collecting a certain trophy or just playing a game on your system, in order to earn loyalty points that can be redeemed for various freebies.
Sony made the news at Friday night’s State of Play event, announcing that the programme would begin in Asia in September before expanding to North America and Europe in the coming weeks.
Loyalty points may be converted into PSN wallet dollars and used to purchase games from the PS Store and unlock different “digital collectibles.”
This covers 3D figures and artwork of many Sony products. Some of these collectibles, such as an Ape Escape diorama, a model PS3, and a Sony MP3 player, were on display at the recent State of Play.

Figurines of popular and iconic characters from games and other kinds of entertainment, as well as valued technologies that draw on Sony’s legacy of invention, are digital representations of items that PlayStation enthusiasts like.
Sony also hinted that the virtual collectibles list would continue to grow, saying that “there will always be something new to acquire and show off to your friends.”
Grace Chen, Sony’s Vice President of Network Advertising Loyalty and Licensed Merchandise, clarified that the collectibles are not NFTs and do not employ blockchain technology.
PlayStation Stars should be available on PS4/PS5 by October.
