Suzuki dominates the top five best-selling cars in September 2022.
Frequent production suspends and rising costs continue to stymie all automakers’ sales. In September, Hyundai Nishat Motors Private Limited (HNMPL), Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC), and Honda Atlas Cars Limited (HACL) reported very low sales.
While Pak Suzuki Motor Company’s sales have improved significantly from last month, they are still far short of the monthly average of over 10,000 units. Suzuki Cars, on the other hand, dominates this month’s list thanks to its sales resurgence.
The following are the top five best-selling vehicles in September:
Non-PAMA members Kia, Changan, Proton, Haval, MG, Prince-DFSK, and United did not provide official sales numbers.
Toyota YARIS

The Toyota Yaris has seen an increase in sales and demand. Despite a 40% drop in sales from the previous month, the Yaris made it into the top five bestsellers for September 2022.
Toyota IMC no longer discloses the segmented sales of its cars. However, market sources informed ProPakistani that the business sold just under 800 Yaris cars, putting it in fifth place among Pakistan’s best-selling automobiles.
Honda Civic

Following its sales in recent months, the 6th Generation Honda City’s success has been certain. The subcompact sedan has already defeated the Toyota Corolla, one of Pakistan’s most popular vehicles, as well as other subcompact vehicles such as the Suzuki Swift and Toyota Yaris.
According to sources familiar with the independent sales numbers, HACL sold slightly over 950 copies of City last month, placing it fourth on the list. However, its sales are expected to rebound once the manufacturers resume regular operations.
Toyota COROLLA
Despite its now-expensive price, the Toyota Corolla has once again become Pakistan’s best-selling automobile.
Toyota IMC sold about 1000 Corollas in September 2022, a remarkable result for the tiny vehicle considering the current operational recession.
Suzuki SWIFT
Continuing its strong performance, the Suzuki Swift overtook numerous consistent performers to become the second-best-selling vehicle last month.
Despite a recent drop in sales owing to production cutbacks, PSMC sold 1,263 Swifts in September 2022, making it the best-selling subcompact family vehicle.
