Tesla will collaborate with Pakistan’s Formula Electric Racing NUST.

Formula Electric Racing NUST (FERN) continues to create waves in the automotive and electronics worlds by consistently hitting key milestones.
In an encouraging move, a group of students from Pakistan Navy Engineering College-NUST has enlisted Tesla as an innovative partner. This is one of the team’s most significant international accomplishments.
According to a FERN official, the team reached out to Tesla Inc. in search of a cooperation. Tesla decided to become the team’s innovative partner after evaluating their remarkable portfolio.
The collaboration will provide FERN with technical assistance, knowledge sharing, and critical components for the development of electric vehicles (EVs) from a worldwide EV pioneer.
With this achievement, FERN has become the first and only educational institution to partner with one of the world’s most recognisable brands in the automotive sector.
Another team member said to Pakmatters that on a worldwide scale, FERN’s competing teams had sponsorships from automotive behemoths like as Mercedes-AMG, Volkswagen, Porsche, and others.

“Words cannot explain the joy and appreciation that we feel for being associated with a brand like Tesla,” he said.
Previous Experience
FERN has been a dominant force in both the yearly Formula Student events and a number of other contests. The team has a solid track record of finishing on the podium in every worldwide championship in which they compete.

Their current prototype vehicle has a 5 kWh battery with a range of 22 kilometres. It has a peak speed of 120 kph and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 4.5 seconds, making it a faster vehicle than most vehicles on Pakistani roads.

The team is currently creating various in-house components that will be integrated into future versions of the vehicle. FERN’s persistent hard work and commitment are a source of national pride.
