The Suzuki GSX125 will make its debut next month under a different name.

The unveiling of the Suzuki GSX 125 at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAS) 2022 sparked the curiosity of both fans and the general public.

A recent relevant article disclosed some interesting data about Pak Suzuki Motor Company’s (PSMC) intention to introduce the GSX 125 in Pakistan.

The new bike will be available in October 2022 as a fully built-up (CBU) unit imported from Qingqi Suzuki in China under the name ‘GS 125Q.’

According to a recent report from Horsepower Pakistan, PSMC would introduce the motorbike in September 2022. However, the corporation is apparently delaying a new launch owing to local currency fluctuations.

The GSX 125 will compete against the Yamaha YBR 125 and the Honda CB 125F. It features a 125cc single-cylinder air-cooled petrol engine that produces 10.45 horsepower (hp) and 9.2 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque, as the name suggests.

According to different foreign bike critics, it has a curb weight of 126 kilos and a fuel efficiency of 42 kilometres per litre. It features a return shift pattern and a 5-speed constant-mesh gearbox.

The bike sports a front disc brake with two piston callipers and a rear drum brake. It includes twin inverted fork tubes up front and spring-loaded shock absorbers in the rear for suspension.

Given that the bike is a CBU, the price after import duties and taxes would most likely be between Rs. 350,000 and Rs. 380,000, given the growing dollar rate. If this is the case, the GSX125 will appeal to a certain group of motorcycle fans.
