Trade between Pakistan and Germany has huge potential, in various fields, according to Pakistan’s Commerce Minister.

Syed Naveed Qamar, Federal Minister of Commerce, said that there is a lot of potential for the growth of economic and commercial links between Germany and Pakistan in numerous industries.

He believes that Germany and Pakistan may profit from these trade and economic prospects. On Wednesday, he spoke at the AHK-hosted ‘Networking Reception Event,’ with German Ambassador to Pakistan Alfred Grannas.

According to the Minister, Pakistan and Germany may cooperate in various areas and promote mutual economic and commercial links.

He believes that this kind of connection will bring the business communities of both nations closer together and boost economic chances in the future.

Such events, he says, serve as a bridge for mutual commerce and trade, as well as a chance for business groups and policymakers to meet.

According to Naveed Qamar, economic and commercial links between Pakistan and the European Union have existed for a long time and have the potential to develop further in the future.

The Minister said that with the arrival of Germany’s new ambassador, a new era of commercial and trade cooperation between the two nations would begin.

“We welcome the incoming German ambassador to Pakistan, Alfred Grannas, and hope that bilateral ties between the two nations will strengthen,” he said.

Speaking at the event, Alfred Grannas, the German Ambassador to Pakistan, said that cooperation with business groups, especially chambers, is essential for the growth of economic and commercial connections between the two nations.

According to the ambassador, the engagement of business groups is critical in bilateral trade and economic relations.

He explained how the German embassy in Islamabad is promoting reciprocal commercial links between the two nations.

In this context, the German embassy is fully engaged in interactions with Pakistani business chambers. The ambassador said that there is a lot of potential for bilateral commerce between the two nations and that other industries should be explored.

Meanwhile, he said that people in Pakistan are suffering largely as a result of the current flood, and that Germany would provide assistance for their revival and rehabilitation. He said that the Pakistani people are strong and would overcome this disaster.
