Two Pakistani cities have been named among the world’s cheapest cities for expats in 2022.
Islamabad and Karachi, both in Pakistan, have been named among the world’s cheapest cities for foreign workers in 2022.

In the cost of living index 2022 released by Mercer, a US-based asset management company, Islamabad and Karachi are placed as the fourth and fifth cheapest cities for expatriates.

Mercer conducts cost-of-living data study twice a year to assist multinational corporations (MNCs) and governments in evaluating pay plans for their foreign personnel.

In order to assess the cost of packages for globally mobile personnel, the survey evaluates more than 200 items and services, as well as emphasizing crucial aspects such as currency fluctuations, inflation, and lodging rates.
