The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has seized the allocation files of almost a dozen plots in an Islamabad sector after it was discovered that the land for these plots had been assigned illegally.
The CDA’s Security Directorate seized files for 11 plots in Sector I-11 after preliminary investigation revealed that these plots were assigned using backdated signatures of top officials.
According to facts, Naveed Ilahi, Member Estate CDA, received a complaint a few days ago alleging that 11 plots of I-11 were distributed using backdated officer signatures.
Following this, the Security Directorate undertook a short investigation and discovered irregularities in the assignment of these lands.
It should be noted that a few of years ago, a scam involving the allotment of over 100 plots in I-11 and I-12 sectors using backdated signatures of CDA personnel was uncovered. Since then, the Security Directorate has been investigating the incident, and the investigation’s findings are still pending.
A few years ago, the Security Directorate also seized data from One Window Operation (OWP) including seven plans of an I series sector and sent the matter to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

The FIA filed a lawsuit involving one plot last year, and an inquiry into the improper assignment of the additional plots is currently underway.
The Security Directorate also discovered the illicit allocation of seven properties in the D-13 district last month. The incident first came to light a few months ago, when a senior female official discovered that two plots in D-13 had been given under her authority.
Following a preliminary inquiry, the Security Directorate found that these plots were given under the fake signatures of numerous top CDA officials. It was also discovered that the files for these seven plots were missing from the Land Directorate’s records.
