Eight men from Sheikhupura were stabbed to death while sleeping

Police arrest a suspected killer and seize the axe used in the killing.
According to reports, the offender targeted males sleeping in several locations in farms about 3 a.m.
Punjab Chief Minister Elahi has ordered a police report after an investigation into the matter.

In a heinous crime, eight men were killed with an axe while sleeping in a hamlet near Sheikhupura, Punjab.

According to Sheikhupura District Police Officer Faisal Mukhtar (DPO), the offender attacked the guys sleeping in various locations across the farms after 3 a.m. He said that the suspected killer was arrested with the weapon used in the homicide.

According to the official, the suspect seems to be mentally disturbed. However, more investigations are being conducted.

Taking note of the incident, Punjab Chief Minister Pervez Elahi asked the relevant authorities to submit a report after an inquiry.

“Justice for the families of the victims must be assured,” he stated.
