Khawaja Saad Rafique, the Federal Minister for Railways, made the announcement on Wednesday that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has made the decision to reduce the ticket prices of its international flights by up to 15 percent.

The minister said in a video message that was shared on Twitter that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has already reduced ticket prices for domestic routes by 10%. He went on to say that after doing the math, the national flag carrier had come to the conclusion that they should reduce ticket prices for several overseas flights as well.

Flights to Saudi Arabia and other Gulf nations now have ticket prices that are 15 percent lower than before, while ticket prices for flights to the United Arab Emirates and other Gulf countries are 10 percent lower. Additionally, there has been a reduction of eight percent in the cost of tickets to go to Canada. The new prices are going into effect as of right now.

If there is a further decline in the price of oil, the minister has said that the government would give immediate assistance to passengers in the form of lower ticket costs.
