The Punjab School Education Department has launched an inquiry following a glaring error in the Class 9 Computer Science textbook, where the author mistakenly translated the term “computer mouse” as “chooha” (rat).
The error appeared in Chapter 11, titled Computer Science and Entrepreneurship. After the mistake was discovered, the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Authority (PCTB) demanded a full explanation along with all related records.
The Director of Curriculum and Compliance has been instructed to submit a detailed report within one day.
